Make your content work harder

When it comes to content creation, we often think we need to start from scratch for every format or platform. But in reality, great content doesn’t need reinvented, it just needs reimagined.
I recently worked with a client on a printed leaflet that distilled their services into a clear, engaging message. Rather than leave that work on paper, we adapted the content into a shortened format for a carousel post on social media, same message, new medium. The result? A visually engaging post that kept the clarity and impact of the original but was optimised for how people scroll and absorb content online.
This kind of repurposing isn’t just efficient, it’s strategic.
Why repurposing works:
Consistency: Using the same core message across formats helps build brand recognition.
Efficiency: You get more mileage out of the work you’ve already done.
Adaptability: You can tailor the same message to suit different audiences or attention spans - print readers vs. fast-scrollers.
What to consider when repurposing:
Format matters: What works in print might need simplifying or restructuring for digital.
Visual storytelling: Platforms like Instagram reward strong, clear visuals and bite-sized messaging, think slides, not paragraphs.
Call to action: Each version should guide the viewer in the right direction, whether it’s picking up a leaflet or clicking through your website.
Repurposing isn’t cutting corners, it’s working smarter with what you’ve got. If you’ve invested in high-quality content for one platform, let it shine across others.
