Investing in branding is often thought of as something to indulge in when you have already developed a strong foothold and have enough time and money to spare. Or it is seen as something that only large, well-established organisations do and not those operating on a small scale.

Your brand is going to introduce your business to the marketplace so you want the first impression to make the right impression. A poorly designed brand will look unprofessional and may imply a business owner who doesn’t take their business seriously. Creating a credible brand from the start will give your business a solid reputation and create longevity.


Create a unique identity

Allowing your business to establish its unique, personal identity from the get-go is going to set you apart from the competition. A big part of distinguishing yourself from the competition is coming up with a brand that communicates your values and vision and appropriately positions you in the marketplace.


Look professional

Yes you can create your own logo on Canva but do you understand the importance of font hierarchy, colour choice, have you thought about creating variations for different uses or have you considered your brand story? There is also a lot more to creating a lasting brand than just the logo. If you want a professional job done, hire a professional!

The right branding will help you to get noticed by your potential customers – even in a crowded marketplace. We all tend to reach for those memorable brands even though they may not always be the cheapest product. Investing time, effort and money in building your brand from the start and making it memorable will set you up to succeed.
